The Kent County Playing Fields Association's objective is to ensure there are good facilities for recreation in every city, town and village in Kent.
It provides grants to individuals to support their training, coaching, development and ancillary costs, and low rate loans to a wide range of organisations, but very few associated with athletics, to help with the obtaining and development of sporting facilities.
The Association also works with organisations and groups to secure the provision of new facilities and to safeguard existing facilities that may be under threat.
It is very keen to make awards and all it asks is that Clubs join the Association. At present, only one Club affiliated to KCAA is a member but, for the sum of just £25.00 per annum, all Clubs have the opportunity to put themselves in the frame for a wide range of awards, grants and loans. Clearly member organisations are likely to be viewed more favourably than those which request funds ‘out of the blue’.
KCAA Clubs which may be interested in membership should contact Paul Peacock, the Secretary of the County Playing Fields Association, on email kcpfa@hotmail.co.uk
